My experience with Dr. Marco Polo Mtz was simply incredible. I've been following his work for more than 8 years, and I was finally able to have my forehead reduction surgery with him. He is without a doubt a pioneer in this type of procedure, and it shows in every detail. He also has an extraordinary team that supports you and makes you feel completely at ease at every step. I loved the result, and it far exceeded my expectations.

Why the face
I chose to dedicate myself to the face.
The face is unforgiving.
A millimeter can change an expression. A vector can change a face. When it comes to your face, every detail matters.
That is why my practice is dedicated to facial surgery. Every procedure starts with understanding your anatomy, your proportions and how your tissues change over time.
It is not about operating on a nose, eyelids or a neck in isolation, but about understanding the face as a whole.
My surgical philosophy seeks to preserve structure, function and harmony.
A change you can see. A face that is still yours.

Message on WhatsAppHow much does a rhinoplasty cost?
The cost of rhinoplasty depends on each individual case, which is why our procedures are listed as “Price provided after consultation.” Not every rhinoplasty requires the same approach. Some patients may need only specific aesthetic changes, while others may require more complex techniques or correction of functional and breathing problems. The cost is determined by the surgical technique required, the complexity of the procedure, operating room time, and the medical team involved. After your consultation, we can create a personalized surgical plan and provide you with an exact quote based on what your specific case requires.
How much time off will I need?
Recovery time varies depending on the procedure and each patient’s individual healing process. In general, after facial surgery, most patients need 7 to 14 days before returning to most everyday activities, although some procedures may require additional recovery time. For example: * Rhinoplasty: around day 4, you may be able to resume light activities, such as working on a computer, as long as your recovery is progressing well. * Facelift: you can generally return to activities such as office work around day 15, depending on your recovery. Swelling and bruising gradually decrease over time, so you can return to your normal routine well before your final results are fully visible. Returning to exercise, strenuous physical activity, and physically demanding work should be gradual and follow your surgeon’s instructions. Although functional recovery occurs much sooner, final results may take 12 to 18 months to fully settle, depending on the procedure and each patient’s healing process. During your consultation, we will provide a more personalized recovery timeline based on your procedure, type of work, and usual activities.
Are payment plans available?
Payment methods are reviewed during your consultation, along with your personalized quote and according to the location where your procedure will be performed. If you are interested in splitting the cost into payments, we recommend discussing this during your consultation so we can explain the options currently available and the requirements for each one. We offer different payment methods, including credit cards. External alternatives may also be available, such as cundinas or tandas (rotating savings groups) managed by independent coordinators, as well as certain financing options, which may involve additional fees. This website does not publish specific financing plans, monthly payments, or payment terms, as these may vary depending on the location, institution, or third-party provider offering them. During your consultation, we can provide you with up-to-date information about the options available at that time.
I live in the United States. How would follow-up work?
Many of my patients travel from the United States. For those coming from El Paso, Texas, our location in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, is the closest and is usually the most convenient option for both the initial evaluation and postoperative follow-up visits. The first consultation can be done remotely by sending photographs and scheduling a telemedicine consultation via video call; this allows us to review your case, perform an initial assessment, and discuss your treatment options. An in-person evaluation before surgery is essential, as it allows me to perform a proper physical examination and personally finalize your surgical plan; when appropriate and everything has been planned in advance, this evaluation can even take place on the same day as your surgery. I require all patients to complete preoperative blood and urine tests; for patients over 40 years of age, I also require a cardiopulmonary evaluation before surgery. After surgery, some follow-up appointments that do not require a physical examination can be completed by video call; during your consultation, we will also plan your postoperative care and determine how long you should remain in Mexico before returning home. For patients traveling from other cities or countries, we also offer care in Culiacán and Mexico City; both cities have good flight connectivity and easily accessible locations. My team can guide you throughout the entire process; from your initial consultation and travel planning to your surgery and postoperative follow-up, helping ensure that your experience is well organized and that you receive appropriate support throughout your recovery.
What if I do not like the result?
The outcome of facial surgery cannot be guaranteed, as is the case with any medical or surgical procedure. Although every surgery is carefully planned with the goal of achieving the objectives discussed during your consultation, each patient has unique anatomy, tissue characteristics, and healing processes that may influence the final result. It is also important not to judge the outcome during the first few weeks. Swelling gradually decreases, and the tissues continue to heal and settle over several months; for this reason, postoperative follow-up is an important part of your treatment. During your follow-up visits, we will evaluate your progress and compare it with the goals established before surgery. If, after an appropriate healing period, there is an aspect that has not evolved as expected, a new evaluation will be performed to determine, on a case-by-case basis, whether any additional treatment or procedure is recommended and the appropriate time to consider it. Before surgery, you will receive and review an informed consent form explaining the procedure, its scope and limitations, as well as its potential risks and complications. If an additional procedure or revision surgery is later considered appropriate, it will be planned and quoted separately following a new evaluation.
This information is general guidance. The treatment plan, the recovery time and the cost estimate for each case are determined at the in-person medical consultation.
The next step
Let’s start with your consultation
I do not give cost estimates over the phone or on WhatsApp. The consultation is in person or by video call, and you will receive a personalized written treatment plan. The photos you upload when booking help prepare the visit; they are not used to estimate costs remotely.
